DaVinci

Diversity is probably the best describing what DaVinCi is all about, with a fresh new line up with Jacques & Altay the band is ready to conquer the finals in the Dubai desert rock festival that is to be held in December 15th 2006 in the Dubai country club, DaVinCi will be the only band representing Egypt along with other bands from Saudi Arabia, Iran, India & Dubai.
DaVinCi was founded by Ali Mortagui & Karim Amer (ex drummer), with a dream to mainstreamize the rock scene by creating & composing diverse tracks that appeal to listeners from all genres breaking the misperception of the indecency of the rock scene. DaVinCi’s first live exposure was in the “global battle of the bands 2005” in Jordan.
Personal circumstance has judged the fate of the member line-up in DaVinCi, with Karim deciding to leave to England for good & Salim (ex bassist) deciding to pursue his career elsewhere. Ali asked Jacques to give it a try with contributing his bass skills to DaVinCi hoping to add significant value to the band’s already recorded tracks. It was only a matter of days the band was to be cherry topped by Altay.
DaVinCi is currently finalizing their project demo album “HoMe MaDe MuSiC” that includes the tracks “Hey You” that is dedicated to the people of Lebanon & Palestine, the track “what if” earned Garageband.com’s “Track of the day in modern rock” – “Best Lyrics in Modern Rock” – “Most Original in Modern Rock”.
Reviews
Good intro, nice riff and good energy. Excellent massive sounding guitar riff. i like the lyrics a lot, the singer's got a good distinctive voice. This band's confusing me, there's elements of punk, indie, metal and classic gnr style rock...good original sound. Great performance!
