Mood Shift

Moodshift is an instrumental rock band, they play a large variety of rock music types including classic rock, hard rock, progressive rock, blues, funk, etc. which still confuses them to which type of music should they call themselves playing, they have their own originals adding their style & influences in a mission to spread a different approach in music which is “you don’t need to sing to send a message just feel the melody & figure it out”.

It all began since April 2002 when Guitarist Amr El Maghraby decided to form his own band with his best friend/keyboardist Adham Abouzied, Amr started taking guitar lessons and Adham started practicing again after losing interest in keyboard and that’s when they started to develop, One year later Amr Met Bassist/Guitarist Shahan Terzibashian in college and jammed with him and from there Shahan discovered his bass skills, later on in the summer of 2004 after searching for drummers they found Drummer Omar Gabr that’s where Moodshift started.

They recorded one of their originals "Crystal River" which was one of their 1st ever recording experiences, after the song was recorded it was uploaded on Emajor.net & it gained 500 downloads in one month and it was broadcasted on Nile F.M, they played numerous of college talent shows and in Sakiet El Sawy (cultural wheel) before their Sakia gig they recorded their famous funky anthem J-Walk which took Moodshift to a whole new level and it was broadcasted again on Nile F.M to advertise their gig in Sakiet El Sawy (Cultural wheel) 9th of September 2005, which was a huge success.
